Please take some time and read an important message from Ted.

There are so many repair shops to choose from, but how do you choose? There are many good shops but there are many more bad shops. Some are out to deliberately take advantage of you and your wallet. Others just don't know any better. They have fallen behind with technology and lack the diagnostic skills that are so needed with today's complex vehicles.

Many times you can find yourself paying for parts and services that you don't need while they are just guessing what might be wrong with your car only to waste your money and time. Let me give you an example of a vehicle I came across recently. It was a van that was taken to a nearby shop. The owner of the vehicle assumed that his transmission was bad due to the symptoms.

The shop checked it out and came to the same conclusion. They replaced the transmission in his van but it was doing the same thing 1,500.00 dollars later. Not really a bad price for a new transmission and labor but it was not the problem. They ended up bringing it to me and I drove the van ran some tests and found that the mass airflow sensor was bad, actually it was very dirty and couldn't work the way it was designed. I cleaned the sensor and the van worked fine afterwards. This job cost less than 180.00. That is all this van needed in the first place. I know the other shop didn't do it on purpose but they just didn't know any better.

This kind of thing happens all of the time. Don't let this happen to you. Always make sure your shop has A.S.E. certified tech's and has up to date diagnostic equipment and training. You can have the best diagnostic equipment but if you don't know how to use it or how to interpret the data it is completely useless. If you have any questions you would like to ask just and I will do my best to answer your questions. Just allow a little time for a response.
